A sculptor/painter working with found objects and common building materials, his work revolves mainly around human relationships and understanding of form and environment. Though his paintings (and some of his illustrations) require the viewer to look deeper into the works for hidden imagery and symbolism, overall his work is more visceral. The artists says he is "interested in how materials evolve/breakdown over time via the elements." His work looks to comment on how man's, often arrogant and unsuccessful attempts to master both material and surrounding are only temporary. By using materials and process' that are reclaimed by the elements over time, the works shed light on our impermanent control of things. Many of his pieces are site specific and temporary, placed in settings where the elements can reclaim, alter, or ‘evolve’ the works. He currently lives and works out of Baltimore City.
